Independent Home Energy Audit Report (for new construction)
This place tested exceptionally well at an adjusted rate of 1.8 ACH. This is over twice better than the newest code adopted by the state of Michigan. I found no glaring deficiencies in the envelope and I did mask off the dry plumbing traps through out, the dryer vent and the range vent which was not installed. I am pleased with the air sealing on this project. Give me a few days to work through the remainder of the rating as I know you want your HERS score. To be honest, I am trying to figure out how to best address the in floor heat in the master bathroom and make sure I get you the proper credit for exceptional mechanicals. To the best of my ability, it seems like we have a small area, with an R-3 underneath which is well within the thermal envelope. Can you also provide to me any under slab insulation details as I am unclear as to what transpired prior to 10-3-16 when I did my initial insulation inspection. Attached please find the bragging rights to an amazing blower door test number and I will be working on your HERS score as I am able.
